Acting Director of the Montenegrin Investment Agency, Mirjana Koji\u0107, presented Montenegro\u2019s investment potential at the international forum Adria Future Summit 2026, highlighting key projects and development directions with the capacity to drive long-term economic growth and further position the country as an attractive investment destination.<\/p>\n\n

During the presentation, it was emphasized that Montenegro is actively working on improving its investment climate through reforms, strengthening institutional efficiency, and aligning with European standards. Particular focus was placed on projects with strong multiplier effects on the economy, contributing to job creation and balanced regional development. <\/p>\n\n

Public-private partnership (PPP) was identified as one of the key models for implementing development initiatives. This model enables the realization of complex and capital-intensive projects through efficient cooperation between the public and private sectors, ensuring a clear allocation of responsibilities, reduced fiscal burden on the state, and long-term sustainability of investments. <\/p>\n\n

The presentation highlighted infrastructure, energy, tourism, and the valorization of cultural heritage as key pillars of future development. In the field of infrastructure, priority is given to projects that enhance transport connectivity and logistical capacities, while the energy sector offers significant potential through the development of renewable energy sources and the green transition. <\/p>\n\n

Tourism, as one of the country\u2019s most important economic sectors, continues to evolve towards sustainable and high-quality investments, with a focus on extending the tourist season and diversifying the offer. At the same time, the valorization of cultural heritage has been recognized as an important segment that combines identity preservation with economic development, creating added value through sustainable tourism projects. <\/p>\n\n

Projects such as the Port of Bar and the Kosma\u010d site were highlighted as examples with strong investment and development potential. The Port of Bar represents a strategic hub for the development of logistics, transport, and regional trade, while the Kosma\u010d site offers opportunities for the development of innovative tourism and cultural content, while preserving the authenticity of the area. <\/p>\n\n

As emphasized, Montenegro is increasingly positioning itself as a stable, secure, and open economy, with a clear European perspective and continuous progress in the EU integration process. This strengthens investor confidence and enhances the country\u2019s visibility on the regional and international investment map. <\/p>\n\n
