The delegation from Kharkov was presented with the investment potentials of Montenegro

The Assistant Director of Montenegrin Investments Agency, Mr. Andrej Lakić, met today with members of the Kharkov City Council delegation led by Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Kharkov Olga Oleksiienko. It was assessed at the meeting that Montenegro and Ukraine have traditionally excellent bilateral relations, which generate increasingly meaningful cooperation together with economic relations that are on the rise.

Assistant Director Andrej Lakić presented the affairs of the Agency and pointed out that according to its competencies, the Agency is a catalyst for new business opportunities as well as the first meeting point for foreign investors in Montenegro. The Assistant Director also presented the key advantages of the investment environment in Montenegro, together with the program of economic citizenship implemented by the Agency, as well as the reasons why Montenegro decided to use the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model more intensively.

The Honorary Consul, together with the members, pointed out the investment advantages of the city of Kharkov as well as the 100,000 entrepreneurs who operate in it and who are constantly developing entrepreneurship, on the basis of which the city of Kharkov was declared the best city for doing business in Ukraine. They also pointed out that their goal is to achieve partners through mutual visit to Montenegro and through mutual cooperation to the mutual satisfaction of both countries.

Representatives of the Agency presented the investment potentials of Montenegro as well as the Program for Improving the Competiveness of the Economy for 2021, which envisages the implementation of seven Program lines of financial and non-financial support. The tourism, energy, furniture production, IT and food sectors have been identified as key sectors that could be of interest to Ukrainian investors.

It was concluded that the relations between Montenegro and Ukraine are accompanied by intensive cooperation and enhanced dialogue at the highest political and working level, and these are certainly necessary elements for further development of cooperation.
