The Union of Municipalities of Montenegro organized a meeting dedicated to public–private partnerships (PPPs), aimed at fostering dialogue on challenges and opportunities for improving the legal and institutional framework in this area.
Representing the Montenegrin Investment Agency (MIA), Acting Director Mirjana Kojić and Assistant Director for Public–Private Partnerships, Merlina Tošić, emphasized the Agency’s essential role as the central institution responsible for supporting and facilitating PPP projects. They highlighted that the Agency’s expertise and procedural guidance are crucial for the effective implementation of this cooperation model between the public and private sectors.
The Agency remains a reliable partner to all local self-government units in process of candidating their project proposals, providing the professional support and direction needed to ensure their successful development.
We extend our gratitude to the President of the Capital City Assembly, Ms. Jelena Borovinić Bojović, for her initiative and contribution in opening a dialogue on this important topic for strengthening local development and improving Montenegro’s investment climate.
The meeting served as an opportunity for representatives of municipalities and relevant institutions to exchange experiences and viewpoints, united by a common goal – strengthening partnerships that contribute to Montenegro’s sustainable growth.
