Podgorica will host the 2nd Regional PPP Conference on October 29, 2024, organized jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Investment Agency of Montenegro, with support from the SIGMA program.
This conference is a key event for all stakeholders interested in the development of the PPP model in the region, as it gathers leading representatives from the public and private sectors, delegates from regional countries, international organizations, financial institutions, and experts who will share their experiences and knowledge on this important investment model.
In the opening part of the conference, participants will be addressed by Snežana Đurović, Director of the Investment Agency of Montenegro, and Piotr-Nils Gorecki, representative of SIGMA. Following their welcome remarks, the Minister of Finance of Montenegro, Novica Vuković, will officially inaugurate the conference with his address. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about new trends and opportunities in the field of PPP, with a particular focus on international standards, legislative frameworks, and practical aspects of implementing PPP projects.
The conference program includes four thematic panels that will analyze key topics related to PPP in detail. Discussions will cover various aspects, from significant infrastructure projects in the transportation sector to innovative financing methods, as well as possibilities for implementing the PPP model in the education, tourism, and sustainable development sectors, with a particular emphasis on Montenegro.
The conference is expected to provide a platform for creating new partnerships and initiatives that will significantly contribute to sustainable development, increased investment, and the promotion of economic cooperation at the regional level. Additionally, the event aims to strengthen the capacities of public institutions and the private sector in Montenegro and to advance the implementation of the PPP model, which is essential for infrastructure development and improving the quality of public services.
