On March 27, 2025, a meeting was held at the premises of the Montenegrin Investment Agency with representatives of Romania, led by His Excellency, Mr. Viorel Ardeleanou, Ambassador. In addition to the representatives of the Agency, the meeting was attended by:
Nj. E. Viorel Ardeleanu – Ambassador of Romania to Montenegro;
Cristian-Dan Cutas – Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of Romania in Montenegro;
Tiberiu Andrioaiei – coordinator of the internationalization program of Romanian companies in the Western Balkans;
Marius Huminiuc – Sales Manager for Eastern Europe.
The aim of the meeting was to establish and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of areas of foreign investment. During the meeting, the attendees were presented with a presentation on the investment potentials of Montenegro, and the possibilities of investing in key sectors of the Montenegrin economy, such as tourism, energy, infrastructure, construction and the IT sector, were discussed.
Representatives of Romania expressed interest in developing joint projects and exploring the potential for long-term investments. Particular attention was paid to the measures taken by the Montenegrin authorities to improve the business climate. All of the participants agreed that cooperation between Montenegro and Romania is of strategic importance and that joint work on projects will contribute to the economic development of both countries, and it was agreed to submit their portfolio to the Agency.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to organize an additional meeting in order to elaborate concrete steps and possibilities for cooperation in the coming period.
