The director of the Montenegrin Investment Agency, Mladen Grgić, and the head of the Investment Promotion Section, Nenad Radović, participated in the Danube Conference held on July 1, 2022 in Ulm.
The visit to the German city was carried out at the invitation of the Ulm Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of strengthening the energy efficiency market in potential partner countries. In addition to representatives of the Agency, the Montenegrin delegation consisted of Nina Drakić, president of the Chamber of Economy, Dragan Kujović, vice-president of the Chamber of Economy, Jelena Adžić, adviser at the Chamber of Economy, and Ivan Mrvaljević, executive director of the Directorate for Development and Investments in the national energy company „Elektroprivreda Crne Gore“.
The conference entitled “Danube region at the crossroads of changes – economic policy impulses from the EU strategy for the Danube region” was organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg and the city of Ulm.
During the meeting, experts from politics, business and science discussed, among other things, the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Danube region and how cross-border value chains can be made more resistant to external shocks.
The participants of the Conference discussed, in four thematic sessions and a panel discussion, the key factors and directions for the sustainable and comprehensive growth of the Danube region. Opinions and experiences were exchanged in the field of bioeconomy as a driver for the creation of new values - with the example of the Croatian wood cluster, followed by digitization, tourism, sustainable mobility and energy.
The visit of the Montenegrin delegation was organized in cooperation with the Consul General of Montenegro in Frankfurt, Ivana Đukanović.
