Representatives of the Montenegrin Investment Agency successfully participated in a seminar on trade and investment cooperation, held from June 5 to June 19, 2025, at the prestigious University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, with visits to the city of Qingdao. During the seminar, which included a series of expert lectures and visits to leading Chinese companies and institutions such as China Unicom Qingdao Branch, Qingdao Metro Group, and Hisense International Center in Qingdao, our representatives actively engaged in dialogues and experience exchanges.
The seminar was further enriched by cultural visits to the UIBE Museum of Economy and Trade, the Great Wall of China, the Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium in Beijing, as well as the traditional village of Dongmaiyao in Qingdao, contributing to a better understanding of Chinese culture and business practices. Participation in this seminar enabled our experts to gain valuable knowledge about China’s economic policies, investment models, and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which opens new opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation. At the end of the seminar, the Agency’s representatives received two certificates of successful completion, confirming their professional readiness for further work on enhancing investment cooperation between Montenegro and China.
We conclude that the participation of the Montenegrin Investment Agency’s representatives in this seminar holds special significance for the further development and improvement of bilateral cooperation between Montenegro and China. The acquired knowledge and experience enable the Agency to more effectively promote Montenegro as an attractive destination for Chinese investors, as well as to better understand the specifics of the Chinese market and investment models. This cooperation opens doors for new infrastructure and economic projects that can significantly contribute to the economic growth of our country. The awarded certificates confirm the expertise and dedication of our representatives to be key actors in realizing these investment opportunities and strengthening friendly ties between Montenegro and China, which lays the foundation for a long-term and successful partnership.
