Montenegrin Investment Agency Promoted Montenegro’s Investment Environment in Rijeka and Pula

The Montenegrin Investment Agency participated in business forums held in Rijeka and Pula, organized by the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Croatian Chamber of Economy – County Chambers Rijeka and Pula, within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

At the business forums held in Rijeka and Pula, the Montenegrin Investment Agency was represented by Acting Director Mirjana Kojić and Kristina Vuković, Independent Advisor at the Sector for Investment Promotion and International Cooperation.

During the business forums, Montenegro’s investment potential was presented, with a particular focus on investment opportunities in strategic sectors such as tourism, energy, transport infrastructure, agriculture, and the IT sector. Representatives of the Croatian business community were introduced to the key advantages of Montenegro’s investment environment, including its competitive tax system, strategic development projects, and the institutional support provided by the Agency to domestic and foreign investors throughout all stages of investment implementation.

Within the framework of the forums, B2B meetings between Montenegrin and Croatian companies were also organized, providing an opportunity to exchange information on future cooperation opportunities and joint projects, with a particular focus on strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia.

The business forums in Rijeka and Pula gathered representatives of institutions and companies from Montenegro and Croatia, highlighting the importance of regional connectivity, stronger economic relations, and enhanced cooperation in the fields of tourism, logistics, maritime affairs, and services. Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about development projects and business potential in Croatian regions, as well as experiences in regional development and investment attraction.

As part of the program held in Pula, a special cultural event was organized to mark the 20th anniversary of Montenegro’s independence, including the exhibition “Consular Representations of Montenegro 1880–1914”. The program was organized in cooperation with the State Archives of Montenegro, the Embassy of Montenegro in the Republic of Croatia, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, and the Council of the Montenegrin National Minority of the City of Pula, with the aim of promoting the history of Montenegrin diplomacy, strengthening cultural ties between the two countries, and affirming the Montenegrin community in Istria.

The participation of the Montenegrin Investment Agency in the business forums in Rijeka and Pula once again confirmed the importance of active international promotion of Montenegro as an attractive investment destination. Through direct presentations, institutional networking, and meetings with business representatives, the Agency further strengthened its role as a key institution for investment promotion and international cooperation. Such forums represent an important platform for positioning Montenegro on the regional investment map, strengthening investor confidence, and creating opportunities for new investment initiatives and long-term economic cooperation.
