The II Regional Conference on Public-Private Partnership has ended

Director of the Montenegrin Investment Agency, Snežana Đurović, as the host, officially closed the II Regional Conference on Public-Private Partnership, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro and SIGMA OECD, which took place on 28-30. October in Podgorica.

With thanks to the delegates from the region, but also to all conference participants for their participation and contribution through the exchange of knowledge and experience, which contributed to the fruitfulness and success of the Conference, the director of the Montenegrin Investment Agency emphasized the importance of continuous regional gatherings, i.e. building a regional PPP network.

Reminding of the importance of public-private partnership, the numerous potential projects that can be realized through this model, and the great regional potential as well as room for improvement, the director of the Investment Agency launched an initiative to establish a mechanism for the joint action of all those factors that deal with public-private partnership and investments.In addition, the director of the Investment Agency suggested understanding the region and regional networking beyond the borders of the Western Balkans, which would imply the inclusion of other countries such as Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Jordan and others that have experience not only in terms of PPPs but also attracting investors and implementing large infrastructure projects. Finally, and with the support of SIGMA OECD, all participating countries of the II Regional Conference on Public-Private Partnership agreed that in the upcoming period they will contribute to the formalization of the Memorandum of Understanding, which will serve as a kind of base for creating exceptional opportunities for public-private partnerships but also investing as a whole.
