Minister without portfolio in the Government of Montenegro, Milutin Butorović, met today with the Director of the Investment Agency of Montenegro, Snežana Đurović.
They discussed the possibilities of closer cooperation with the legislative branch of government, in the context of creating a more favorable legal framework for investors and facilitating the investment procedure. Director Đurović emphasized the importance of synergy, in order to speed up the processes of adopting legal solutions that encourage investments in key sectors.
Minister Butorović emphasized the important role of the Investment Agency through the provision of expert proposals and initiatives, relying on the best world practices, in order to attract reliable investors.
“The government is making maximum efforts to improve the business environment, and with the new Fiscal Strategy, after reducing the tax burden on labor, it will become the country with the lowest wage costs in Europe. All these activities recommend Montenegro as a reliable investment destination. It is our obligation to do even more in cooperation with the Parliament”, said the minister.
During the meeting, it was agreed to intensify joint work on projects that are of strategic interest to the economy of Montenegro, with continuous exchange of information and initiatives with the Government and Parliament of Montenegro.
Both parties expressed their willingness to continue an active dialogue in order to ensure predictable and sustainable growth and development of the investment environment.
