The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Montenegro, H.E. Andreina Marcela, visited the Montenegrin Investment Agency (MIA), where she met with the Director Snezana Đurović. At the meeting, the Ambassador was introduced to the goals and activities of MIA, as well as the strategic economic sectors promoted by the Agency. Director Đurović presented the key advantages of the investment environment in Montenegro, as well as the reasons why Montenegro has decided to use the public-private partnership (PPP) model more and more intensively in the coming period.

Ambassador Marcela expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries so far, where the strength of friendly and modern relations between Montenegro and Italy is evidenced by numerous strategic projects implemented in the previous period, as well as cooperation in the field of trade, culture and education. She proposed the organization of a study visit for businessmen from the Republic of Italy in order to get acquainted with business opportunities in Montenegro and potential partners on the Montenegrin market in the best possible way. The sectors of tourism, energy, hospitality, hospitality, IT sector, as well as the food industry, are jointly recognized as key sectors in which Italian investors are interested in Montenegro and which will be the subject of promotion on the Italian market. Also, better air connectivity and the establishment of regular shipping lines Bar-Bari and Ancona-Bar have been recognized as key prerequisites for the improvement of economic cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Italy, the interlocutors concluded.
